WPS in the Dutch Caribbean

The Dutch Caribbean, including the diverse islands of Aruba, Curacao, Sint Maarten, Bonaire, Saba, and Sint Eustatius, faces particular sets of challenges when it comes to gendered insecurity and experiences, as does the diaspora in the Netherlands itself. This hybrid event will explore different security topics and how gendered elements are at play, ranging from domestic violence to refugee flows. The hybrid event will also explore these topics in the context of the post-colonial relationship with the Netherlands and the different factors that are at play.
